Universal Credit – coming soon
Birmingham, like many areas across the country will be affected by the new benefit payment system when it is introduced to the city from November 2017.
So it is vital that services across the city are ready to help and support individuals and their families for the changes that could potentially affect them when Universal Credit rolls out.
To this end, Birmingham Child Poverty Action Forum members are actively working with the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) to identify specific issues that are likely to affect Birmingham.
By pinpointing the potential risks now, forum members aim to reduce the impact on families and services that will support them by finding better ways of working and lobbying for change. More information about the forum’s activities and plans will be shared shortly.
